Canada's Parks Day is on July 18th, 2009.
To celebrate Parks across Canada there will be festiviites throughout the day at Cultus Lake, Sasquatch, Porteau Cove and Alice Lake Provincial Parks.
A colouring contest is held by BC Parks in celebration of Parks Day for children ages 4-12. For an entry form, visit BC Parks at www.env.gov.bc.ca/bcparks/kidspage/art_contest_2009/index.html.
iParks is another competition in which anyone under the age of 18 from BC or AB can participate in. iParks is a webcast competition that starts June 1, 2009 with the submission deadline of September 11, 2009. The Hozomeen Gathering is taking place from September 12-13, 2009 at International Point.

The Test of Metal cross country bike race will be taking place on June 20th, 2009 in Squamish, BC.
Please note that part of the Test of Metal course will be running through Alice Lake Provincial Park this day.
