Located in scenic Howe Sound, Halkett Bay Provincial Park is typical of the glaciated coastline found in the sound.
The steeply sloped mountains, rugged coastlines, and scattered islands and waters of the sound offer a breathtaking visual experience.
Halkett Bay is currently used by boaters for both day-use and recreational activities.
The park contains wilderness camping, day use picnic sites, swimming, kayaking, hiking to Mount Artaban, and overnight moorage.
Halkett Bay is open year round and provides one buoy, one dinghy dock, and one pit toilet.
A campfire ban is in effect for the Squamish Forest District which includes all the parks operated in the Sea to Sky Corridor effective immeditately until further notice.
For more information on the fire ban see the news release issued by the Ministry of Forests.
