Sasquatch Provincial Park was originally created by the Order-in-Council in 1959 and was called Green Point Provincial Park. Development in the 1960s added a lakefront area for picnicking and in 1968, the adjacent lakes Hicks, Deer and Trout were added. The park was then renamed Sasquatch Provincial Park after the Sasquatch (or Bigfoot) who is alleged to have roamed the area.
Sasquatch is located off of Highway 7 about 6km north of Harrison Hot Springs and has ample opportunity for canoeing, kayaking, swimming, and boating. Visitors of this park can also enjoy hiking, picnicking and camping.
This park is open year round with reduced services and fees in the off season.
